Sick Little Bunnykins

We had an eventful night. Your nose had been running for a few days and yesterday morning you started in with a cough, no big deal. Auntie Sarah and I took you to Walmart in the late afternoon and your cough became worse, scared me, Bunnykins. I talked with your Mom and we took you to an afterhours clinic where the Dr. thought you had asthma symptoms, so she wanted to do a nebulizer treatment on you. I can't believe how strong you are!!! It took Auntie Sarah and I to try to hold you down so we could get the mask on you -- you would have none of it. You won!! A one year old won over two adults. After some other issues with your prescriptions you finally got to sleep around 10:00 PM. You slept ok, only a few times during the night you coughed. Your Mom thinks that it might be your teething. Runny nose dripping down your throat and causing you to cough. I did notice that one tooth on the bottom is just coming thru. Violet throws up when her teeth come out, poor baby and poor, poor parents for having to clean it up. Please get better soon my Bunnykins. xoxoxo

The past two weeks

Just a quick note before Zoe wakes up from her nap. We were in Austin from Sat. to Fri. visiting. We had a fun time on Sunday, Karin invited her neighbors and Natasha and Anwar over for barbque. Good food and good company. It was nice catching up with Anwar, he was excited because he was leaving the next day to Malaysia. Karin and I went over to Rebeccca's to watch SYTYCD. It was fun listening to all of us and our comments about the dancers. Toward the end of the week we went to Ursulla's to see her new baby boy. He is so cute!!! perfect eyebrows and cute little button nose. I can't believe Zoe was that little, time goes by sooooo fast.

Yea!! Karin and Dima agreed that we could bring Zoe home with us. She was sooo good on the trip home to Houston. We put on a video for her in the car and she loved it. When the video stopped she would raise her arms and point to the video screen because she wanted to see more. Ellen came over to the house on Sat. and Zoe played in the baby pool with Autie Sarah. I took off her diaper and let her go naked. Why do babies like to be naked? Sunday we went to Kemah and ate at the Cadillac resturant we then took her over to the water park and Auntie Sarah and her tried to get wet. It was so hot!! I will never get use to Houston summers.

Surprise!

We had a surprise visit with you this weekend. Your Mom called early Saturday morning and told us that they would be coming to Houston later in the day.What a wonderful surprise!! On Sat. evening we had a fish fry and we celebrated the birthdays of Gramps and Auntie Sarah. Your Mom baked a delicious cake with rasberry filling. Yum!!

I could kick myself for not taking any photos because you did so many amazing things. I saw you take about five steps by yourself, yea!! Your still a little unsteady and like to hold onto someones hand when you walk. You climbed up our front staircase (really fast) , your Mom tried to show you how to come back down but you didn't want any of that. Your using your index finger to point at things and you rock out and dance to Grammy's smooth jazz, that's my girl!!! You cover your face with your hands when we say peek a boo and you have such a cute little laugh when your Mom tells you shes going to get you, boy you crawl fast. Sadly the trip ended too soon for me but your parents needed to get back to Austin to check on the cats. Thanks for another amazing visit. xoxoxo

Memorial Weekend

Just back from spending six days at the lake. We did nothing but relax, ride around on the golf cart, and watch T.V. I saw a little girl, probably no more than 5 yrs . old riding on a wake board, whoa!! I also saw two guys flying over the lake in motorized chairs with parachutes, it was really neat. I would never do that!! I can hardy wait until Zoe comes to the lake.

Missing You!

Missing you Bunnykins! Hopefully You can stay with us in the near future. I talk with your Mom every day, she mostly phones me on her way to pick you up at daycare. I hear you will be moved to another class once you learn how to walk. You are sooooo close!

Last night your Mom took dinner over to the Auger's. Their little boy was born by c-section. Your Mom told me she could not believe how small he was. He is a little bigger than you were when you were born. Your a big girl now, I think you weigh around 20 lbs. You still weigh less than DJ pug. That's DJ pug in the hula skirt. Aloha! He gives you kisses all the time.

Uncle Doug's Birthday

You and your parents came to Houston to celebrate Uncle Doug's birthday. He's 35 years old. Where did the time go? We all went to eat dinner at Amerigo's, the food was great as was spending time with the family. Part of you growing up is that you don't like to sit for very long you want to get up and go!! So one of us during dinner had to be walking with you. - loved it!

The next day we all went to eat breakfast at The Egg and I - Yummy!!!! After breakfast we went to the Children's Museum. I had a ball watching you do all the activities in the Tot section. I think you had fun. I did!!

Happy Birthday Bunnykins - One Year Old

Your One year old! We have been so lucky to see you grow this past year. You change every time we see you, that's saying alot because we see you at least every two to three weeks. If I was better at keeping up with this blog I could have written all your milestones.

As of today:

1. You have four teeth- two on the bottom, two on the top.
2. You no longer drink formula
3. You eat fingerfoods - cheerios, avocado, tomatoes, etc.
4. You throw little tantrums
5. You give kisses when asked- this is the best!!!!!
6. You point at things you want or when asked where is Mommy or Daddy?
7. You have been crawling for awhile but not yet walking - I'm sure it's soon.

The list goes on! What an amazing journey you have taken us on and I look forward to the journey ahead with you.

New Look and New Resolutions

Wow! Well I started off with good intentions of keeping up with this blog but as you can see it didn't last. The blog has a new look and I hope to start posting on a regular basis.
